SNE Research, a Market Research firm in South Korea, released the global power battery installed rankings for 2021.In 2021, the world’s top 10 power battery installations are: Ningde Times, LG New Energy, Panasonic, BYD, SK On, Samsung SDI, China New Aviation (AVIC lithium), Guoxin High-tech, Vision Power, Honeycomb Energy.Ningde Times ranked first, with the global installed capacity reaching 96.7GWh and the market share reaching 32.6%, ranking first in the world. At the same time, it has been the fifth consecutive year that Ningde Times has been on the throne of the world’s largest power battery enterprise.With the explosion of battery sales, its performance is also improved, Ningde times released a forecast showing that 2021 net profit is expected to be 14 billion yuan – 16.5 billion yuan, year-on-year growth of 150.75%-195.52%, breaking the company’s 2018 listing since the highest profit record.However, unlike other manufacturers, Ningde Times is mainly satisfied with the supply of power batteries in the Chinese market. Last year, ningde Times loaded 80.51GWh of power batteries in China, accounting for 52.1% of the market, and China accounted for nearly 90% of its business volume.LG New Energy ranked second with a market share of 20.3 percent with 60.2GWh installed last year.LG New Energy, a spin-off of LG’s chemical battery business, is Ningde’s biggest rival.Japanese battery company Panasonic ranked third in the number of power batteries installed worldwide.Panasonic’s market share last year was 12.2 percent with 36.1GWh of installed capacity. As tesla’s battery suppliers increased, Panasonic’s market position declined.In addition, it is worth noting that most of the top 10 companies with the highest power battery installation volume are from China and South Korea, among which there are 6 Chinese companies and 3 South Korean companies.The outstanding performance of Chinese power battery manufacturers is also related to the outbreak of New energy vehicles in China. In 2021, the production and sales of new energy vehicles in China will reach 3.545 million and 3.521 million respectively, with a year-on-year growth of 1.6 times.China is still the world’s largest market for new energy vehicles.
