Harbin, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) — A wild sika deer strays into a resident’s home and has been transferred to a protected area.A wild sika deer strayed into the backyard of a village in Baiquan County, Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province.Under the joint rescue of the public, the wild sika deer has been safely transferred to the national sika deer nature reserve.According to reports, on February 14, Qiqihar City Baiquan County Public Security Bureau Guofu police station received guofu town clean village people alarm, said in their backyard found a sika deer, lying on the ground motionless, suspected injured, police to come to the disposal.When the police arrived at the scene, they found that the deer was weak and no trauma was found.In order to prevent the deer from being frightened and causing secondary injuries, the police contacted the staff of the nearby Xiandong Mountain National Sika Deer Nature Reserve and sought professional help.After the staff of the reserve arrived at the scene, they decided to send sika deer to the reserve for treatment and further find out the deer’s physical condition.Due to the deer’s intense reaction, the police cooperated with the staff to anesthetized the deer. After nearly 2 hours of joint efforts, the deer was finally sent to Xiandong Mountain National Sika Deer Nature Reserve for treatment.After careful inspection by the staff of the reserve, the wild sika deer is not serious, but because of the old body and the snow closed the mountain, foraging difficulties, resulting in physical weakness.The staff of the reserve will carefully feed and care for the deer until it recovers and is released into the mountains.
